EASA Survey on support programmes, psychological assessment and psychoactive substances testing

21 January 2023

EASA, as mandated by Commission Regulation (EU) 2018/1042, has begun their first evaluation of the provision of peer support programmes, psychological assessment of flight crew and testing of psychoactive substances.
In that EASA has launched online surveys customised for the role of specific stakeholders.

• The representatives of operators, service providers of support programmes, psychological assessment and testing, as well as associations representing crew, airlines are encouraged to complete a dedicated survey for them, available at the following link ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/operator-survey. EASA asks operators to submit only one integrated reply to all parts per organisation to avoid duplication and confusion in data analysis.
o If you are a service provider, please liaise with your operator regarding survey answers.

• Flight and cabin crew as well as other safety-sensitive personnel are welcomed to provide their opinion on the provisions of support programmes, psychological assessment and psychoactive substance testing at a dedicated survey, available here ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/Crew

The survey will remain open until the 17th of March 2023.
