Purposes and Legal Basis of Processing
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Managing EAAP membership records and services.
- Communicating with members and stakeholders, including responses to emails and other correspondence sent to Board members.
- Monitoring site traffic to improve website functionality and user experience.
Categories of Personal Data
EAAP processes the following categories of personal data:
- Site traffic data (e.g., anonymized visitor analytics).
- Membership information (e.g., names, contact details, membership status).
- Emails and other communications sent to Board members.
- Other relevant personal data necessary for EAAP to work towards its objective (promote the study of psychology and the scientific pursuit of applied psychology in the field of aviation), actions in support of that objective, the EAAP Code of Professional Practice and the EAAP Articles of Association (www.eaap.net/about.html)
Data Subject Rights
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- Right of Access: to request information on the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to Rectification: to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to Erasure: to request removal of personal data that is no longer linked to membership or Code of Professional Practice (CoPP) cases.
Data Retention and Transfers
- Membership data is deleted upon termination of membership. If a member was involved in a CoPP case, data can be kept for up to ten (10) years.
- Other information (including communications and general correspondences) can be retained for up to ten (10) years unless it is determined to be safe to delete earlier.
- We do not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA).
