E-CISM Conference - Rome 2026

Mayday Italia, the European network EU-CISM and SRMS - Stress Resilience Management System - Associations are pleased to invite you to the next World Congress, organized together with International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF), based in Baltimore, MD.
Emphasis on making an impact in situations of stress, trauma, and disaster at the individual, group, and organizational levels guides the main Congress on 20th-21st of March, where prestigious international names in the world of Crisis Intervention will meet to discuss best practices, critical issues, opportunities for growth, and red flags.
Participants will have the opportunity to work together, sharing skills and vulnerabilities with colleagues from different European and worldwide operational contexts, and acquire new knowledge and operational procedures thanks to the contributions of the leading experts in crisis management.
The World Congress will be preceded by two unique opportunities for in person workshops:
March 18th: Dr. Mary Schoenfeldt will present her work: "Your Team: Building It On The Fly And Taking Care of It"
How to organize a team during disasters and how to ensure team resilience that results in Post Traumatic Growth. It will use a highly interactive combination of guided tabletop exercises, storytelling, personal insights and activities. It will result in each participant leaving with new knowledge related to their role and responsibility for effective team function during disasters and high stress.
March 19th: Professor Roger Solomon will lead the workshop "The Journey from Trauma to Resilience"
Workshop on building resilience in individual crisis intervention and in professional too: Resilience is the ability to regain balance after adverse circumstances by learning from it and utilizing lessons learned to deal with present and future life. Hence, not only can one overcome trauma, but emerge stronger. Small group practice to increase one's peer support skills in building resilience. (You don't learn how to drive a car from a lecture).
